I’ve made some good progress on my little project for Landmarks 2017! I CNC cut a coin-operated machine and sanded it down so it’s super smooth. I also nailed a box to the back for a tablet to sit inside, which will show a stop-motion animation. I’m still dealing with the concept of blindness but in a more spiritual context involving nature. Very different from my previous work aesthetically, but I feel like the themes are still quite relevant.

The Sheridan College gallery is showing our projects from May 19th to June 2nd. The official dates for Landmarks 2017 in the National Parks are from June 10th to the 25th, with the opening being on the 21st. This piece will be located at the newest park, Rouge Urban National Park.
